The only major weakness to me is something I see in most mods- heavy focus on med cultures while Barbarians seem weak. Units also drastically redone though I think similar to the Extended Greek Culture mod there is an emphasis on Greek units.
Some of the other factions also have similar promotions which add command or influence skills as you advance in rank. Rome has promotion system so a General can advance to rank of Consul etc. The map is same as RTR Platinum but Epirus and some other factions added or modified. RTR Extended is so far the most fun mod I have played out of 4 mods.
